Services

The National Fire Protection Agency(NFPA) recommends fireplaces and chimneys be inspected and cleaned on an annual basis. Creosote will buildup in the chimney and firebox and potentially create a fire hazard. We use a rotary sweep method where we can access every part of the system to properly remove debris. We will then be able to inspect the system to check for any defects or problems. We are proud to have completed our certification through the Chimney Sweep Institute of America(CSIA). This includes much education and training, which separate us from other companies. Once service is completed, we will provide a detailed report on the system itself and the service provided.

Chimney sweep

  • Smell: There's a bad smell, even when the fireplace isn't lit

  • Soot: Soot is falling into the firebox or into the room

  • Fire: The fire doesn't burn well or takes a long time to start

  • Smoke: Smoke wants to enter the room when fireplace is in use

Signs your chimney needs swept

Gas Fireplace/Gas log service and installation

Even though gas fireplaces don't produce creosote like wood fireplaces, they can still accumulate buildup, such as carbon soot, dust, cobwebs, and debris. This buildup can lead to poor performance, clogged burners, and other issues. Regular maintenance ensures the safe and efficient operation of your fireplace, preventing potential issues and promoting longevity.

Dryer Vent cleaning and repair

We all know how it feels to get frustrated when you go to get your clean clothes out of the dryer and they are still wet. Lint will buildup in the vent and slowly cause air flow to decrease. Having your dryer vent cleaned will help reduce the risk of fire, will lower your energy cost, will prolong the life of your dryer, and increase drying efficiency. We use a rotary brush system that spins through the entire vent from the inside to the exterior. We then clean the exhaust termination, whether on the roof or side of the house. We finish up by using pressurized air to remove any leftover dust and lint. Finally we turn the dryer on to make sure everything is operating properly.

Signs it’s time to get your dryer vent cleaned

  • Drying time: Clothes take longer than usual to dry

  • Temperature: Clothes are hotter than normal after drying, or the dryer feels unusually hot while running

  • Smell: There's a burning smell while the dryer is running, or clothes smell musty after drying

  • Lint: There's visible lint buildup around the dryer's lint trap or vent opening, or excessive lint on clothing after drying

  • Humidity: There's increased humidity or moisture in the laundry room

  • Dryer error: The dryer has a warning light or error code

Chimney Caps

Without a chimney cap, animals, water, snow, leaves, and other debris can enter the chimney. This can cause blockages and damages over time. Installing a chimney cap will prevent this and will help with the overall longevity of the chimney. It will also stop sparks and embers from causing further damage to the roof structure during the sudden occurrence of a chimney fire. We can install a variety of sizes to securely fit onto the chimney flue. Galvanized chimney caps will rust overtime, we recommend installing stainless steel chimney caps that won’t rust and cause problems in the future.

Chase Covers

Factory-built fireplaces often have a wood or sided chimney instead of traditional brick. The top of the chimney is sealed off with a metal chase cover. Often they are made from galvanized steel that will rust over time and can eventually cause leakage. We can replace the rusted chase cover with a custom stainless steel one that will last a lifetime!

Expert masonry repair

  • Weathering: Rain, wind, and snow can damage bricks and cause them to crumble.

  • Poor construction: If the chimney wasn't built correctly, it may have structural problems that lead to crumbling bricks.

  • Mortar quality: Certain types of mortar are more likely to crack and break down over time.

  • Spalling: Bricks can become saturated with water, causing them to chip, deteriorate, crumble, or pop out.

  • Cracked mortar joints: Failing mortar joints can allow moisture to seep into the chimney, causing bricks to become loose
